Kaitsen Woo Architect, P.C.(KWA) is an architectural firm offering a full range of design, consulting and administrative services for residential, commercial, and institutional projects. KWA was founded by award-winning Principal Architect, Kaitsen Woo, who has over ten years experience working with projects of all sizes and complexity.
KWA has extensive experience working with historic buildings, having successfully coordinated and completed over fifty projects since 1992. Recently, KWA received the 2009 Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award from the NY Landmarks Conservancy for the Exterior Restoration of Flushing Friends Meeting House in Flushing, NY. Since its founding KWA has received over 10 awards. KWA is capable of managing large-scale projects that require the coordination of a complex array of specialized services. No matter what the size or requirements of the project, KWA can assemble a team of the finest engineers, professionals and consultants. KWA recently completed a two-million dollar interior and exterior renovation of the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York. Another recent project was the complete conversion of the former Theresa Cervini Convent into the Headstart Daycare Center in Corona, Queens, New York, a program intended to serve over one hundred lower income children.
KWA utilizes the most current computerized design and drafting software (CADD), and digital technologies. KWA is familiar with the requirements of the various New York City and State regulating agencies, such as the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission, the NYC Department of Buildings, and the NY State Historic Preservation Office.
